Best Places to Work in Hospitality
Seven years ago, The Caterer and people retention specialists Purple Cubed joined forces to find and showcase the 30 Best Places to Work in Hospitality. This annual celebration of employment best practice in companies large and small, established or entrepreneurial, never fails to be inspirational.
In 2021, the list will also highlight those who have best handled the COVID-19 crisis with kindness, bravery and grace when it comes to their employees.
Assessed by digital sentiment analysis, this list is not drawn up by leaders, operators or marketing. The companies featured on the Top 30 are recommended by their own employees based off just five carefully crafted questions.
The survey rates how well employers responded to the pandemic and will provide information, unavailable via any other employee survey, that will be critical towards targeting scarce resources as organisations begin to move forward.
A partnership between The Caterer and employee engagement experts Purple Cubed, proudly sponsored by Umbrella Training.
What do past entrants have to say?
Achieving 6th place in 2019 has been a proud moment for Aloft Liverpool and has spurred our team on to deepen our people agenda with a dynamic approach. Our management team are now at the stage where they are asking what’s next and how can we make our team become even more engaged within their roles.
Winning the award cemented our belief that we were heading in the right direction. Retention and recruitment figures say so too, so we will keep doing what we’re doing.
Seeing the difference in perception of long-term staff compared to newer staff was really interesting and opened up areas where we have subsequently communicated out culture better.
